Location: Middle TN, USA | Hopefully I am back on form this month. Being as it is October, I plan to slip a bit of Horror into my reading list this month. I have a few books still hanging on from last month to finish:
Genre
Heart-Shaped Box - Joe Hill
From Hell - Alan Moore
Amara - Richard Laymon
Non-Genre
Some We Love, Some We Hate, Some We Eat: Why It's so Hard to Think Straight About Animals - Hal Herzog
This month I plan to read:
Time Machines Repaired While U-Wait - K.A. Bedford (Down Under Challenge)
The Naming - Alison Croggon (Down Under Challenge)
Empire of Salt - Weston Ochse
Nightmare at 20,000 Feet - Richard Matheson
Apocalipstick - Lisa Acerbo
Breathe - Christopher Fowler
Damnation Game - Clive Barker (Clear The Shelves)
Possibly:
Sabriel - Garth Nix (Down Under, Clear the Shelves)
That is quite a list, I have to wonder how much I will get done.

Location: Great Lakes, USA | I am reading The Testament of Jessie Lamb at the moment. I also got Seveneves from the library, and will finish it (I'm already 2/3 through from last time I had it.) I have Angles of Attack, which is book three of Marco Kloos' trilogy. I need to read Lines of Departure first, but that one hasn't come yet. I'm hoping it gets here in the next week or so. I should also be getting Ancillary Mercy, which will be read as soon as it gets here regardless of what I am reading at the moment. |

Location: New Zealand | I am reading slightly less books at the moment because the weather is warming up and it's just too nice to be indoors. So this month I plan to read:
The Summon the Keeper trilogy by Tanya Huff - this will finish Cat Quest
Summer of Night by Dan Simmons for Trick or Treat Quest
And I have challenges of my own going that I want to finish:
Philip K Dick challenge - Maze of Death, The Penultimate Truth, A Scanner Darkly and The Simulacra
Favourite Authors challenge - We Are All Completely Fine, Widdershins and Year of the Ladybird
Horror challenge - The Unquiet House and Those Across the River, as well as the Simmons mentioned above

Location: UK | I am trying to finish off my WWEnd challenges this monthas I have a big pile of books from other genres to read too. This is my final list
Catharine Asaro - Spherical Harmonics
Terry Pratchett - Raising Steam
Isaac Asimov - Robots of Dawn
M R James - Ghost Strories of an Antiquary
Jack McDevitt - Seeker
James White - The Watch Below
Fred Pohl - Man Plus
Not likely to read more than 4 of them this month, but I should certainly finish the challenges next month. But I got far behind reviews while ill,soI have about 12-15 reviews to complete before I can claim I have fully completed my challenges. November and December are going to be busy with cleaning and Xmas preparation, and lots of time searching out next year's reads! Perfect excuse to browse all of WWEnds glorious lists
