Last and First Men: A Story of the Near and Far Future

Certainly not an easy story to read and to digest. You get the history of the entire human race told from the point of view of the last men (the eighteenth race, we are the first). So the scope of this novel is rather large and there is a lot of psychological babble in it as well. Still the global thread is very interesting with all the descriptions of the rise and downfall of the different races. It also has its flaws, but those can be forgiven on the account of the books age. For example travelling to other stars is almost impossible.
