Murder By Other Means

Scalzi is known for writing enjoyable stories with tight, economical prose, and this novella is no exception, as long as the reader can just roll with the far-fetched premise of the series - people who are murdered (but not people who die accidentally or who kill themselves) immediately disappear, and reappear alive and unharmed in the place they feel most safe (usually their home).

There's nothing revolutionary here, but this is a fast, enjoyable read, well-suited for occasions when the reader just wants a little diversion and entertainment.
