Powerful and refreshing! Here is a novel that I never would've chosen of my own accord but had struck a "I'll read this if you read that" deal with someone. I started it with the mindset that I would breeze through it as quickly as possible so that I could get back to my own reading agenda; however, I ended up just blazing through it because it is truly amazing and I could not put it down. This book is pure poetry. Not in the literal sense, but in that it is completely fat free in the most artistically minimalist way, and it evokes emotions with a beauty of language seldom achieved by novelists.

Narrated by an AI in first person with the vision of a cubist painter, the naivety of a child, and the moral compass of a saint, this story takes deep cuts into both what it means to be human individually, and the nature of humanity as a whole.

I highly recommend this to everyone, regardless of literary taste, and especially to those looking for a pallet cleanser to end a reading rut.
