Arslan

This is a phenomenal novel. Arslan is one of the best-realized villains in any science fiction book I've read. By degrees brutal and terrifying yet commanding with his sheer presence and a malevolent charm to the people he is dominating. A true cult of personality that devastates everything in its path.
