This novel was technically very well written. In fact, it really is not science fiction at all if it weren't for the fact that it took place in the future. As far as all the dystopia novels of the first half of the 20th century, this is the best. The tension is palpable, the love relationship fascinating, the characters fleshed out with enough dynamics so feal real, and the plot follows logically through the world created.

I wonder if it has lost its relevancy, given that it was initially a caution against totalitarianism. With the advent of the internet and therefore free information, the idea of government sensorship may be a thing of the later century. Regardless, the language coined in this novel will live on in the English language.
