Skin Cover

I have very mixed feelings about this one.

The story of a young woman on the edge of society (because of her skinlessness) coming into her own. At the same time the story of Celtic society under pressure of the Roman conquest. And the story of Druidic culture shortly before its downfall.

All of it interesting. Ailia is a fascinating character.

However, the novel contained too much fantasy and too many inaccuracies to be historical, and too much of a historical setting to be fantastic. In addition, the romance did not work for me at all.

So, too much that took me out of the story and too little that kept me interested.

Neither recommended nor recommended against.
