Made to Kill

Made to Kill is a pulpy detective novel with magnetic-tape-memory, communist spies, radiation, and Hollywood. There are moments where you wish it would let you out from under all of the similes to breathe and other moments where it's amazing for sticking to it. If the idea of human-template computers constantly simulating frowns and making the sounds of taking a drag on a cigarette bother you, this book won't be for you. Personally, I liked that even in a robot body, Raymond and Ada can't stop being human.
