Altered Carbon

Interesting futuristic noir mystery. Morgan does not break much new sci-fi ground here but he writes well and his main characters are decently developed. There are almost too many side characters that play small but (sometimes) important roles. Throw in the 'sleeve' concept and the plot does tend to get a bit jumbled up in places. Despite this, things move along at a fast pace and, as the story resolves, not too much is left hanging.

If you like Gibson, Sterling, Nagata, Stephenson, et al, you will probably like this book. I did.
