Biography
Rokujiuyen was born in 1753, and died in his seventy-eighth year in 1830. He was the son of an innkeeper of Little Demma Street in Old Yedo, who was also an artist known, as such, under the style of Ishikawa Toyonobu. The son carried on the business, more or less; his personal name (na) was Gabo, while Rokujiuyen was his pen-name.
