Random quote: "Swords, Lances, arrows, machine guns, and even high explosives have had far less power over the fates of nations than the typhus louse, the plague flea, and the yellow-fever mosquito. Civilizations have retreated from the plasmodium of malaria, and armies have crumbled into rabbles under the onslaught of cholera spirilla, or of dysentery and typhoid bacilli. Huge areas have been devastated by the trypanosome that travels on the wings of the tsetse fly, and generations have been harassed by the syphilis of a courtier. War and conquest and that herd existence which is an accompaniment of what we call civilization have merely set the stage for these more powerful agents of human tragedy." ― Hans Zinsser, Rats, Lice and History

I can't find Canadian fantasy writer Jes Battis, who also writes under the name Bailey Cunningham, listed on this site. He is amazing, and he is my colleague in the English Department of the University of Regina. As Jes Battis, he wrote the OSI series about a supernatural crime-fighting unit in Vancouver, Canada. He also wrote the Parallel Parks series, set in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.

Hi JeanRobera,

Books are added to the database rather than authors. Book are added through a few methods: nomination for one of the awards WWEnd covers, addition to one of the covered lists, or requests by users. Since the books are not here, it just means that a reader has not requested them, i have investigated them on isfdb.org, and they fit our criteria for addition, so I can go ahead and add the two series to the list of books to be added.

There is a thread in this form where you can request other books that you might want added
http://www.worldswithoutend.com/mbbs22/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=1...
And if you want to know more about the process, check out the FAQ: http://www.worldswithoutend.com/about_faq.asp

Welcome
Rhonda
