Uber User Posts: 1057 | Dlw28 - 2020-02-25 8:05 PM Is the Vela from Serial Box something that can be added? Sorry for typos- recovering fro surgery. Vela is story by 3 authors. Yoon Ha Lee Becky Chambers and Rivers Solomon. Available as audio or ebook in episode ms. Hi Dlw28, this is a for-cost serial publication released in tiny pieces. The Ubers' consensus is that we will add it when it gets released as a paper omnibus book on Amazon (something Serial Box has done with some of their past serials). When that happens, please request it again.

The Uber have talked over Amish Vampires and decided no, because of the self published aspects.

Member Posts: 6 | I would like you to re-think your decision on this one. It depends on which "edition" you are talking about. I read, from the public library, the one published by Marcher Lord Press, a publisher of Christian fantasy and science fiction. They handle several authors, so it's NOT self-published. See this URL: https://www.enclavepublishing.com/marcher-lord-press-rebranded-new-n... for information about the new name of the company and more information. "...to announce that Marcher Lord Press is being rebranded as Enclave Publishing. " "Enclave Publishing is a place where authors and fans of Christian Fantasy and Science Fiction can come together." from https://www.enclavepublishing.com/for-readers/ "Enclave Publishing is owned and operated by Steve Laube, a long time veteran of the Christian publishing industry. Our primary aim is to publish speculative science fiction and fantasy of interest to Christian adults and teenagers." and from an interview of the author on Enclave's site: https://www.enclavepublishing.com/interview-with-kerry-nietz-2/ "...and then this duology of Amish / science fiction / monster books. The first of those books, Amish Vampires in Space, is doubtless my most talked about novel, with mentions in Publishers Weekly, Library Journal, the Washington Post, and Newsweek. It even made a short appearance on the Tonight Show last year."

Uber User Posts: 1057 | twinmom22 - 2020-03-02 4:05 PM I would like you to re-think your decision on this one. See this URL.. Yes, we looked at both of those links when we discussed the book and the publisher. We also looked at a bunch of other sources, because of course a publisher is going to say on their website that they are legitimate. The author of the book you're requesting states here that Marcher Lord Press is a Print-On-Demand (POD) outfit (i.e., self-published): twinmom22 - 2020-03-02 4:05 PM mentions in Publishers Weekly, Library Journal, the Washington Post, and Newsweek. It even made a short appearance on the Tonight Show last year." Here are the mentions in Publishers Weekly. "PW Select" and "PW Online" are pay-to-play divisions of Publishers Weekly where self-published authors and publishers can pay to publicize their companies and get their books "reviewed" and promoted: PW Select: https://www.publishersweekly.com/pw/diy/index.html Here's the Washington Post mention. It's actually a syndicated string article from Religion News Service, which is not part of WaPo: And the short appearance on the Tonight Show? was mocking the book as "a book you should avoid at all costs":
Worlds Without End constantly gets spam posts and requests for books from self-published authors. We try very hard to walk the fine line between meeting WWEnd members' needs and opening up the database to a massive quantity of works of dubious quality. Often it's a judgment call. If you ask to elaborate on our reasons for our decision, we are happy to do so, but we do ask that members recognize that those decisions are made based on evidence which backs up our judgment.
