Veteran Posts: 207 | Some great covers there, the only one I could find that I actually read was the The Day of the Triffids which i read as a kid.

Admin Posts: 4008 Location: Dallas, Texas | I've not read any of the penguin editions even though I'm a huge fan of the classic penguin SF covers. Mostly it's because I hardly ever see them for sale anywhere... which is probably a good thing as the temptation to collect those books for the cover art would certainly be too great to resist. My wife already looks askance as the pile of unread books on my desk.

Member Posts: 35 | Greatest Sci-Fi cover ever was just on the front page of Worlds Without End. We are all in agreement that Cat Karina by Michael Coney is the best. It is, based on my analysis, 50% Cheese, 50% Erotica, 50% 1970s, 50% Glorious Subtitle.

We are all in agreement that Cat Karina by Michael Coney is the best. It is, based on my analysis, 50% Cheese, 50% Erotica, 50% 1970s, 50% Glorious Subtitle. That is a truly terrible cover IMO. I looked for an alternative to use but that was the best I could find. I think that one belongs on http://www.goodshowsir.co.uk/ for sure.
