Synopsis

This collection of articles by the leaders of space and rocketry studies dates to an interesting post-war/pre-Sputnik era. There is no space race yet. Human spaceflight is a fairly optimistic and assumed a near-goal. The book accepts the baton of the golden age of science fiction by realizing the engineering scientific and scientific advances of the WWII period. It takes on the goal of clarifying and resolving the differences between science fiction and science fact with what was recently learned.
