Astounding Science Fiction magazine is known today as "Analog Science Fiction and Fact," one of the most popular of all science fiction magazines.
This earlier version of Analog was first published in 1930, under the name "Astounding Stories," when SF/F publishing was in its infancy. The name was changed in 1938 to "Astounding Science-Fiction". Some of the early giants of the Science Fiction genre were published in the magazine when it was called "Astounding Science Fiction," including Isaac Asimov and A.E. Van Vogt.
