History
Timescape was the Science Fiction imprint of Simon & Schuster. Pocket Books, in the 1970s, had been the SF imprint of choice for Simon & Schuster, but it changed the SF focus to "Timescape Books". The imprint was discontinued in the early 1980's, however, when Simon & Schuster chose to distribute Baen Books as their main Science Fiction line. During Timescape Books' brief life in the industry, it published award- winning titles such as "Against Infinity" by Gregory Benford, and "The Transmigration of Timothy Archer", by Philip K. Dick.
